CHECKMATE

Checkmate was a challenge in high-contrast visual storytelling. The client wanted a home that wasn't just "modern," but strategically bold. We treated the 112sqm resale layout like a chessboard balancing heavy monochromatic tones with airy, open spaces. Instead of traditional room dividers, we used geometric shifts in carpentry and floor textures to signal transitions. It’s a project that proves monochrome doesn't have to be cold; it just needs a clear, multidisciplinary strategy to feel intentional.
